Sustainability
Honest about where we are. Committed to where we're going.
Our Approach
We'll be honest with you: no jewelry brand is perfectly sustainable, and we're no exception. The fashion and accessories industry has real environmental challenges, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. What we can promise is transparency about where we are, genuine commitment to improvement, and a refusal to use sustainability as a marketing tool without the actions to back it up.
Here's where we stand, what we're doing, and where we're going.
Packaging
Our outer box is made from FSC-certified recycled matte board. The inner pouch is recycled satin or velvet. Our monthly collection card is printed on recycled paper using soy-based inks. There are zero single-use plastics anywhere in our packaging.
Absolutely. The outer box is fully recyclable — it's also beautifully designed to be kept and reused as a jewelry storage box. The satin or velvet pouch is made to be used every day to store and protect your pieces when not wearing them.
We're working toward 100% recycled materials across all packaging components by the end of 2026. We're also exploring a packaging take-back scheme where members can return their boxes for reuse.
Materials
Solid gold is not accessible at subscription price points. Stainless steel is one of the most durable, recyclable, and hypoallergenic base metals available. Combined with our PVD gold plating process, it produces pieces that last significantly longer than traditional electroplated alternatives, reducing waste.
PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) plating uses a vacuum process that produces significantly less chemical waste than traditional electroplating. It's more durable (meaning pieces last longer and need replacing less often) and creates no harmful chemical byproducts.
Our LUNE box uses .925 sterling silver. We are in the process of transitioning to certified recycled sterling silver across our LUNE and STAR ranges. We expect this transition to be complete by mid-2026.
Supply Chain
Our pieces are manufactured by carefully selected partners. We are not able to disclose specific manufacturing locations for competitive reasons, but we commit to only working with partners who comply with local labour laws, provide safe working conditions, and meet our material quality standards.
All new manufacturing partners go through a vetting process that includes reviewing their labour practices, environmental compliance, and quality standards. We conduct ongoing reviews and reserve the right to terminate partnerships that do not meet our standards.
We are currently working toward formal ethical certifications for our supply chain. This is a significant undertaking and we want to do it properly rather than quickly. We expect to have our first certifications in place by end of 2026.
Our Roadmap
Our sustainability goals for 2026 and beyond.
100% recycled packaging across all materials, certified recycled sterling silver for LUNE and STAR boxes, ethical supply chain certification for all manufacturing partners, publishing our first annual sustainability report, launching a jewelry take-back programme for worn or unwanted pieces, and beginning measurement and reporting of our full carbon footprint.
Yes — our first annual sustainability report is planned for Q4 2026. It will include our full supply chain audit, environmental impact data, and progress against our targets. We believe radical transparency is the only credible approach to sustainability.
